JULY
Wednesday, July 28th, 7:30PM at the Annapolis O'Callaghan Hotel
Person of Interest
Terrance Dyer is a veteran of the war in Iraq, a self-proclaimed American Patriot and seasoned combat fighter, now living underground in the streets of Seattle, and fighting an equally hair-trigger battle with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Led by an acute sense of paranoia, Terrance becomes convinced that the federal government is setting him up as the fall guy in a soon-to-be terrorist attack on American soil, yet his reactions to the paranoia unmistakably parallel that of a would-be terrorist.

After finding connection with a young journalist looking to tell his story, Terrance sinks rapidly into a heightened sense of morality and betrayal leading him inevitably toward violence.

At once controversial and definitive, vehemently proactive, and overwhelmingly relevant in a political climate charged with uncertainties, Person of Interest gives voice to a disenfranchised generation of soldiers, while bravely prodding at the seams of homegrown terrorism in the United States.

Starring J. Reuben Appleman
Directed by Gregory Bayne

Too Much Fun! The SCENESTERS -- APFS "Afterglow"

On Thursday, May 20th, we screened THE SCENESTERS,  a critically acclaimed, Slamdance Film Festival favorite at Rams Head On Stage. This dark comedy was written and directed by Todd Berger and starred The Vactioneers,  a Los Angeles based comedy ensemble that has a hilarious award winning web series on YouTube  - http://www.youtube.com/user/thevacationeers

THE SCENESTERS was a big hit with the audience and needless to say, when the Q&A started after the movie, we DID NOT have to force the microphone on Writer – Director, Todd Berger who flew in from Los Angeles to attend the screening…

After the show, Todd went out to the Rams Head Tavern outdoor patio to party with the audience which included members of the Annapolis Movie Club.

Later, Todd went down to 49 West ( where Todd earlier enjoyed lunch) and discussed cinema and life with owners Brian and Sara Callahan. Then around 3am, I saw him trundle down the street to the Annapolis O'Callaghan Hotel where we put him up for the evening.

It was another smashing evening for the Annapolis Pretentious Film society as the popularity of THE SCENESTERS continues to grow as it finds it’s audience.  Just today I saw this Tweet in my Twitter feed.  "The Scenesters is thoroughly entertaining and definitely worth the effort to track down."

Todd was an incredible guest, everyone was in love with him by evenings end.

We want to thank all of our sponsors, especially the O’Callaghan Hotel CafĂ© 49 West and of course, Rams Head On Stage for making it such a special evening and taking good care of our visiting filmmaker.

But above all, I want to thank our audience. It is so gratifying to see so many returning patrons and so many new faces.
Kindest Regards,
Pericles
